Professor Goldbrunner gives this lecture every two years at the department of geology of the University of Salzburg.
Objective of the course is to provide students with a basic knowledge and understanding of the behaviour of groundwater in geological bodies. Among other topics, it covers the legal aspects of groundwater use, deep groundwater and its different ways of utilisation for drinking water production, balneology and energetic utilisation.
An important part of the lecture is dedicated to the geological and technical boundary conditions when it comes to groundwater development. The lecturer can draw upon 30 years of experience in this area.
